For me:

  1. My pre-op clarking appointment is over and I still aten't dead.
  2. I made a great dinner which was waiting in the slow cooker when we got home.
  3. There's a lavender-oil bath waiting for me as I type this.
  4. I spoke to my sister today.
  5. I spoke to my mother today.

For Linnea:

  1. She has red Christmas tights.
  2. Lots and lots of people today told us and her how fantastic she is.
  3. She slept properly for both naps.
  4. She only went through one complete change of clothes today (in M&S).
  5. She has no nappy rash at all.

Yay for no nappy rash!

Amy currently doesn't have one, either, but at the cost of using disposable nappies... can't seem to get her to use washable ones without developing a rash after a few days, even if we change her frequently.

No rash is truly a good thing.

No, we haven't tried that yet -- just an extra cotton (I presume) insert at night.

I've heard about the fleece thing, though. Maybe I should try it, though I'm not sure what it'd be called in German or whether it's available here.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Get Amy checked for thrush, if necessary, since that can cause a recurrent rash.

The other thing to do, while you're using the dispos, is to wash your cotton nappies on 90degrees, and then stick each one in the microwave for a minute on full - be careful taking them out of the microwave because the steam will be, well, as hot as you'd expect, really - after we did that, YoungBloke's nasty rash disappeared and even after 3 months hasn't come back.

We sometimes do an extra rinse after the wash to check that all the soap's gone, too.

I doubt it's a yeast infection (that's what thrush is, no?) since it cleared up pretty quickly each time she was started on disposables.

The boil-and-nuke thing sounds potentially promising, though; I'll tell Stella about it. Thanks!
