Selling on Ebay
Jan. 27th, 2004 03:00 pmI have finally given in and joined the dark side; I am experimenting with selling our coffee table on Ebay. I have no idea how this will work, but a lot of people like Ebay so it's worth a try. It won't cost all that much if it's a dismal failure. I suspect "buyer collects" is a huge turnoff.

It also depends, to some extent, what you want to sell when you're starting out (and what they cost).

Date: 2004-01-27 10:01 am (UTC)Tips for the future, assuming your main goal is to get rid of it rather than to make the absolute most money you can: use a "buy it now" price that's a fair chunk lower than retail (almost everything I sell is sold using "buy it now"), and don't use a reserve (it annoys a lot of people), or if you must use a reserve, mention what the reserve is in your description.
Good luck!
