I have finally given in and joined the dark side; I am experimenting with selling our coffee table on Ebay. I have no idea how this will work, but a lot of people like Ebay so it's worth a try. It won't cost all that much if it's a dismal failure. I suspect "buyer collects" is a huge turnoff.

Been idly thinking about doing similar for the past couple of months. Suggest you do a bit of research first and take a look at the UK ebay newsgroup [uk.people.consumers.ebay](seems to be fairly friendly if a little cliquey) and also take a butchers at the (newly-created) FAQ, hosted at http://www.upce.org.uk/

Doing a bit of buying of low-cost items to build your feedback isn't going to hurt either, especially if you want to sell. Recipes for pennies are the way to go, I understand.
