Selling on Ebay

I have finally given in and joined the dark side; I am experimenting with selling our coffee table on Ebay. I have no idea how this will work, but a lot of people like Ebay so it's worth a try. It won't cost all that much if it's a dismal failure. I suspect "buyer collects" is a huge turnoff.

I sold a chaise longue within hours using "buyer collects." The buyer thought it was such a good deal that she sent her children all the way up from Southern California (six hour trip) to pick it up.

Tips for the future, assuming your main goal is to get rid of it rather than to make the absolute most money you can: use a "buy it now" price that's a fair chunk lower than retail (almost everything I sell is sold using "buy it now"), and don't use a reserve (it annoys a lot of people), or if you must use a reserve, mention what the reserve is in your description.
