The
bbcmetreading says that today we'll have 8h15m of daylight. Things are looking up, then. It's going to be spring and them summer. So I've been checking the interwebs for nursing dresses, something I do periodically. It's very disheartening. I want to be able to wear dresses I enjoy. "Discrete" breastfeeding isn't my main goal; I'm aiming for possible. But "Discrete" is what's on sale, and as a result all the dresses are demure, American, and made entirely of petrol. Even the European natural fibre ones are incredibly demure. I donwanna be demure.
There's a Swedish company called Boob selling dresses but I can't find anywhere stocking more than one style.
There's always the option of buying only dresses with buttons down the front but that's so damn fiddly. Really. I've been breastfeeding for two years and almost nine months now and I haven't the oomph for fiddly.
On another topic entirely, I have three months left to write my official complaint to the hospital about Linnea's birth and the state it's left me in. But I can't do it. If anyone out there wants a bit of freelance writing work, I'll pay you to read up the birth story and have a look at my notes, and write me a nice, detailed, official letter of complaint, which I will send to everyone I can think of. But no messin', because this deadline is incredibly serious.

Date: 2007-01-14 07:36 pm (UTC)The only dress I ever used to breastfeed in was actually a petticoat - didn't need a bra under it as it automatically gave support but was easy enough to get out of :) (I used to wear it with a vest or light top over it to avoid flashing : ) )

Canadian dollars, so not too expensive really. And I don't think one could accuse the "Nursing tank dress" of being demure :)
