It's like war, only different. Minutes of despair and exhaustion interspersed with sudden bursts of untrammelled joy and pride. And poo.

I reckon so long as you're able to register the joy, you're still just on the right side of the coping/ not coping line. If there's no joy any more, that's when I worry.
