I eat well. I have a good diet. We have a proper cooked dinner every day. We have proper breakfast. We almost always have a decent lunch, because since I have to do one for Linnea I have to do one for myself. For in-between-meals snacks we have a range of homebaked treats, and fruit.

So what do I crave when pregnant? Foods that normally make me feel queasy even to discuss. Take-away pizza. Crisps. Chips (though not often). And three times now, burgers. Twice sourced from McDonalds and once from Burger King. I even have ethical objections to those places, which normally means we don't darken their doors nor give them an accidental profit, and still the cravings mount. And now? Now I also crave McDonalds apple pies. Not that they are pies, they're frittery deep-fried batter things.

I know Linnea's diet is very low-fat for a toddler; I've been trying to increase the fat, with fatty nuts and olive oil and letting her have the skin of the roast chicken (she rejected it). But does this mean mine is too? Where can I get more fat? I don't like burgers! (Though I love the gherkins). I always want to stop eating them just after halfway through. They are Not Real Food.

I too have been eating more chips than normal. And burgers, though only once a fast food one. I suspect you know all the standard sources of 'healthy' fat as well as I do, but I like oatcakes as a snack to help me resist crisps and home made burgers are good too. And avocados. I can never have too much of them.

Can you eat goat's cheese? I'm rationing myself but at the moment I can eat small amounts without the negative affects of cow's milk.
