I'm not very pleased about it. It's not what I'd hoped for.

But the consultant was lovely, which helps.

No, the other possibility - the one everyone has said to me up until yesterday - was "Don't worry, the first one is always the worst, the others will be much easier and you'll never have that much trauma again."

Which is sort of true, since a c-section isn't as traumatic as this, but not what they means...

And another natural birth is no more likely to kill me than this one - which probably would have, had I been unattended.
