Yesterday at the swimming pool I asked the woman at the desk whether they sold any swim socks because Linnea got verrucas last term. She said no, but once you've had verrucas you can never get them again, like chicken pox.

(I was sufficiently gobsmacked that I didn't want to compound the issue by saying I'd had chickenpox three times).

I'm betting she knows nothing about HPV, or even that it's what almost always causes "verucas"
