I'm beginning to think the ASA are a bit too relaxed about gratuitous sexual content in TV ads. Yes, they're keeping them away from kids, but they are definitely promoting the idea that men can view women entirely as objects, on the levels of their cars, fast food, furniture etc.

"not demeaning to women"

So it's perfectly alright to compare women to fast food, as long as kids don't see the aforementioned women in their underwear?

Why do I get the impression that the ASA people are mostly men?

Bah.

As a man, I cannot accept that women are portrayed as fastfood. It is extremely demeaning to women and slightly demeaning to men. The feelings of fast food, I must say, I don't worry too much about.
