It took us three hours to talk to the insurance guy this evening. Luckily everyone had finished dinner before he arrived.

My medical history is the problem, I think. He says he's never needed two pages before. I expect that if they get my medical notes from the doctor they'll claim everything I listed as "ongoing symptoms" is cured, though; the NHS and I disagree on the status of my childbirth-related ailments.

Rob's was much simpler, since although he's had more different and exciting operations than I have, since all mine were related to the childbirth thing, the form had neat slots for them.

The salesman has written to the software people to complain that his drop-down box has no place for "full-time parent" other than "housewife" - it doesn't even have "househusband."

Egg card rang me up as my job title of mother didn't tally with anything on their system. I had to be labelled as a housewife :/

Though, I'd rather be labelled as a housewife & actually be a woman & a wife, rather than being a man.

About 15 years ago I bought a microwave on interest free payments. They refused to accept Mother as occupation, so I let 3 year old and 6 year old run riot in Currys til they changed their minds! I am not, never have been, and never will be, married to a house!
