We're decluttering madly. We have things to give away and things to sell, though the selling will take a wee while because it's more effort. The storage unit is now empty and the spare room is emptying and we've created more space in the attic. I expect us to put the insulation up this summer, really I do, and that will be wonderful.

Today was a big laundry day - two loads of towels, lots of bedding - and an all-over houseclean, too. Emer is a crawling whizz and leans nonchalantly upright, one hand against the doorjamb (sp?), the other flapping excitedly in conversation. I think she can cruise the length of the sofa.

My hopes of a late walker may be dashed, but I'm sure I'll cope somehow.

Tomorrow is food day, which is good, because we're running low on decent food. And I need to make sure we're on top of the laundry so that we can pack on Thursday. Shouldn't be too hard; worst case is spending a lot of time at the laundrette.

That's lovely, thank you. And not to worry, I never expect books to find their way home too quickly. It just seemed timely if you are organising.
