I love my love with a B because he is benevolent. There isn't a whole lot of benevolence around, and I like it when I see it. Rob is good at it, at irregular intervals.

The minister's cat is a beautiful cat who believes banalities. I have found that exciting gossip is very seldom true, but slightly disappointing stories often are. I also like beautiful cats very much indeed.

Bears - bears of all shapes and sizes are important in this house. My important bear is - was - turquoise, shading to grey after the first 21 years or so, imaginatively named Fluff by my six-year-old be-tutu'd self. Linnea's favourite bears are polar bears, and she tries to make sure al bears can be forced into that description, though she also likes accuracy in reporting so she will, sometimes, sadly concede "No po bear, pandy bear" or similar.

Bureaucracy is even harder to deal with now I have PTSD than it used to be. Making phonecalls can produce a huge panic attack, finding paperwork is worse, talking to anyone about sorting my problems out is almost impossible. I delegate health visitors and midwives to deal with it now, but I do ahve to work on -

Birth plan. This is where I write down in painstaking detail, clearly and concisely, what I will and will not tolerate when I go into hospital to deliver the tadpole. I have worked on it a bit already, I need to work on it more. I need to compose a list of questions to ask my midwife, too; she is fabulous about questions. She likes to answer them.

Breastfeeding: Very important to me, not least because I've seen so many women who wanted to do it fail due entirely to lack of support for their particular problems. I've also seen a few women fail because their problems were really awfully horrendously bad, which is sad but not infuriating, but mostly it has been due to misinformation and lack of the most perfunctory support, and which is sad and makes me very angry with doctors, health visitors, midwives, nurses, and the occasional lactation consultant. When I grow up I hope to be able to qualify as a breastfeeding support person, somehow, and go and support people for free. There's enough good quality expensive support out there already, I reckon.

I don't know much about it outside the US, but would La Leche League be a starting place for this? My mom was a leader for many years, and provided exactly this service..
