Linnea is napping again. So now her pattern is, as far as we can determine a pattern, to sleep through the night and then have a nap in the daytime. Of course, this means we have to provide a nap-suitable environment, since she will not go to sleep in her own bed (nothing wakes her up more surely; I think she, like me, assumes that if other people are awake they must be having Lots Of Fun and can't get to sleep for thinking about it). But it does mean she naps.

In fact, she hasn't had this much sleep regularly for about a year, I reckon.

Also, she has a slight, mild rash. It obviously doesn't itch, it doesn't look unpleasant, it's just there. I thought it was a heat rash until 4 hours topless in an unheated house failed to cure it. I assume it will be gone tomorrow; she's clearly under the weather (disturbed night, didn't want to play outdoors or indoors or go to the park or hand laundry or anything) but not miserable.

I have a few icons I'd like but no idea how to make 'em. I want one that says "Your parenting license is being revoked" and one that will involve a staged photo of self drinking something or other, in profile so bump and bottle are equally prominent. Can't decide whether it should be something in a shot glass or a bottle, actually. I never drink out of bottles...

I've heard that recalcitrant sleepers often start sleeping better all on their own around two. Hope springs eternal!

How about a bottle of Gordons ? Distinctive enough so you know without thinking what it is.

I was going to suggest a wine glass because they're unmistakeable. Or, heck, celebrate! Have a glass of champagne!

Holly has an un-itchy rash that looks like chicken pox, but can't be as she's not unwell.

Looks like blisters? Might be bites or an allergic reaction. Worth getting checked even if she doesn't seem ill.

I assume you've done the glass test etc. If she's just generally under the weather, and it doesn't look like any of the "major childhood spots" (measles, german measles etc) then the doc is most likely to say "ah... it's a virus." *nodnodnod* :/
