It's time to air these again. I want to say it all again, and since I've already done that, here they are. I think, even almost a year later, that there's a lot in these two worth thinking about.

I am loving feeding M, despite him being a more awkward feeder than R ever was. He get fussy about which side, he has screaming blazing nursing strikes, sometimes he fiddles about and makes me sore, but I love it when it's right, which is most of the time.

I feel sorry for women who don't get this feeling.

And *this* is why I read you. (One of the many reasons. I also like hearing about what L is up to.) I don't think I knew you/read you when these were written, but *bravo*. Your head is in the right place, especially about judgment and how it hurts us as women - and how it often acts as an obstacle to trying something like breastfeeding.

The second one upsets me. It makes me feel crap. It makes the voices in my head start up on me all over again.

You have issues with the natural delivery thing that makes you shout at the radio. This is mine, this is the thing that makes me shout and scream and get upset because breastfedding is NOT always a possibility.

I'm sorry this upsets you. I used to feel similarly about all praise of natural birth, even if they didn't say that "anyone can do it" as they did today. I do know that breastfeeding is not always possible and I honour you for trying.
