This and that
Apr. 3rd, 2006 02:00 pm13 year old boy died of measles which just goes to show that I am right to get Linnea vaccinated tomorrow in spite of the feeling in the pit of my stomach. I mean, I know in my head it's the right thing to do, but my stomach doesn't like it. We know too many sickly children to risk being carriers of things like this though.
In other news, we clearly need more fat in our diet. Linnea is eating vegetable margarine by the knife-full whenever she gets the chance. After thinking about it for a bit, I realised that we have almost no added fat anywhere, and as Linnea and I don't eat dairy, and none of us eats much meat, that's about it.
My new mugs are glorious to drink from; they have a nice lip which makes I-have-a-stuff-nose-open-mouth-drinking less gross than it need be, and ordinary drinking quite comfortable.
We're drying things on the line outside - I hope it works; last time, we left them out overnight and they got rained on. The forecast is better today. I'm hoping there's enough sunlight to bleach the nappies. Linnea loves handing over pegs and wet laundry to be hung up. It's even safe to leave her playing outside while I wash up in the kitchen, if the radio's off.
