Recent observations
Jul. 25th, 2005 08:00 pmThis evening:
A: Are you drowning my baby?
R: No, she's doing it quite effectively by herself.
Overheard in a queue for ferry check-in on Saturday morning:
Are there any fucken muslims here?
I was deligh'e' when they shot that fella yesterday.
They should bomb the fucken mosque, that's be a pleasant change.
Seen, not overheard, on the ferry on Saturday: A woman pouring Coke (Coca-Cola) from a labelled bottle into a toddler's bottle, the kind with a teat, like for drinking formula or milk.

Date: 2005-07-27 10:18 am (UTC)Ours are of an age to have pocket money, now, so between that and the treats we get them, they could probably have sweets every day if they wanted to. They seem to moderate their intake quite naturally - for instance, there are usually still Christmas stocking leftovers in their rooms around the summer half-term (end of May).
