This is my life
Jan. 26th, 2005 10:15 pmLinnea shouted at me today; "Da! Da! Da!" until I looked at her to see what she was doing. She was raising a clean nappy in front of her face, then pulling it down and looking at me expectantly. I filled in the necessary script, of course. What else could I do?
We play "This little piggy" with ice-cream instead of roast beef, and upon "Weeweeweewee!" she scrunches up against the tickle, grinning. She does the same thing with "Round and round the garden like a teddy bear" only she pulls her arms in to her sides instead of curling over her tummy.
I walked into the bathroom to find Linnea squatting in the bath, and Rob kneeling on the floor, so that when she stood up straight he could see her - "Peekaboo!" revisited!
When I brushed her teeth, she bit down on the toothbrush, as she always does, to suck the toothpaste off. Yum yum! It's a compromise between prising her jaws apart so I can brush the teeth, not getting my fingers bitten off, and not making her upset with the process. No cavities so far, and seeing me reach for the toothbrush produces much bouncing and splashing and glee, so we must be doing something right.
Later, after her bath, I was sitting in my armchair reading my book. She stood by my left knee, put her hands on my knees, and leaned waaaaaaaay over to the right to look past my book, and smiled at me.
While I was feeding her her bedtime snack, she reached up and stroked my face, then put her fingers in my mouth, gripped my teeth, and pulled my jaw down. I have no idea why, but she likes to do this. She also likes it when I blow raspberries on the palm of her hand during feeds. She's a very active feeder.
This is my life. I love it.
