ailbhe: (baby)
[personal profile] ailbhe

Hello, world.

I'm still alive - there's somewhere between two and a half and five and a half weeks left until the baby's due, and I've just started to get the typical swelling. This week will be a bit manic, because the swelling in my hands is exciting enough to have bruised my knuckles, so I have to attempt to fit a midwife appointment in ahead of schedule, as well as blood tests, TENS appointment, aquanatal, antenatal, DIY and housework. I suspect the housework will fall by the wayside.

H&M regular fit UK size 20 clothes are now too small for me. I was a size 8 pre-pregnancy. H&M's largest available maternity clothes just about fit. I've only gained 11 kg, which is about the right amount, according to a few books.

Go you!

Same.

I'll be curious to see how things turn out (and hope everything goes as well as can be expected).

I dreamed last night that you had the baby; and so very nearly rang you today to check - then decided I was being silly.

Manic is perfectly acceptable at this stage of the game. It is my belief that you will be far superior in intelligence and attitude to my cousins and relatives who, at this point in things, went completely crackers and started alarms every time they felt the slightest twinge or were the least bit displeased about something. Why? Just got a feeling. :)

I'm thinking my very best thoughts for you and your family-which-is-about-to-get-larger. :)

Ailbhe won't go crackers every time she has a twinge. The rest of us around her will!
