Not as useless as I thought I was

I'm 34 weeks pregnant, and I'm tired. I was sick for two weeks with a 3-day bug. It's incredible how much housework accumulates in two weeks. I've almost more or less caught up now.
Rob has almost finished the loft floor, so today I was able to call the window-installing-man to make an appointment for a quote-visit. I made Rob call the planning permission people because they always talk to me as though I'm a particularly stupid girlie girl, and we don't need planning permission for a skylight.
I've also got information ready to apply for more visitors' parking permits, as we're down to the last two. I just need to find two proofs of address (why? They're going to post them to me, after all, and they know I pay council tax for this address. Why can't they just cross-reference?). I've also written the letter from Rob to the solicitor about his will, and Rob has signed it and now I need to put it in an envelope and post it.
Rob has started to read the books about pregnancy and childcare, which is good, because he's been kind of putting it off. We also went out to dinner last night for the first time in ages, as a treat for him for having finished the floor, and as a treat for me for not being sick any more. It was nice - we haven't spent much time together lately, because I've been sick and he's been either working or up in the attic. I'm ginormous beyond belief. I can't believe I used to be able to see my toes. And I just know I've never been able to cover my tummy in water while in the bath. On the plus side, I can now sometimes tell an arm from a leg when it comes smacking into my ribs, and the baby can already make wavelets in the bathwater, which is amusing.
We're ready for it, I think. As ready as we can be. Hospital bags packed, changing table assembled, 0-3 months clothing laundered and stored safely in a drawer, space for the moses basket. Very very soon I will get the moses basket out of the attic and launder the covers, and maybe repair the damaged ones (from my baby sister's moses basket, when she was 12 days old - 21 July 1981, I believe).
I have a hankering for an omelette.
