The to-do list gets better...

1. Wash dishes. Actually, Rob did it, but it's done.
2. Finish DIY so that it is physically possible to tidy the dining room. (Tidied it anyway)
3. Finish tidying main bedroom.
4. Finish tidying spare bedroom.
5. Assemble all the random crap in the house into crates for later sorting.
6. Put away all the clean laundry.
7. Wash the dirty laundry. This is never-ending, but I have really done it. It'll need doing again tomorrow.
8. Bring winter duvet to laundrette for spring clean; put away as spare bedding.
9. Call florist.
10. Buy another king-sized duvet cover.
11. Buy some more cladding and battens. But I need yet more cladding. I changed the design halfway through.
12. Call Town Hall to make sure we can view the rooms on Sat 31 May.
13. Do 1 hour of study before Saturday's tutorial. Just 1 hour.

Oh, this touches chords.

Yes, the crates of random crap, the postponement of tidying until burgeoning DIY tasks are finished, the perpetual dirty laundry generator - ah, the joys of home ownership!

So, this cladding thing, then, is it difficult? (I ask because I'm attempting to work up the motivation to try some bookshelves this summer, and I think I might use tongue and groove for the backing. I have issues with MDF and hardboard...)

The only bastard bit is cutting the boards without damaging the tongue or the grooves - the easiest way is with an electric saw. I suppose a very fine hand saw would do as well, but it'd take more effort than I'm willing to put in.
