Has finally cracked, and can't sleep because she has forgotten to call the florists and some stupid book says that for a Saturday wedding in July, the florist should all be arranged at least 3 months in advance and now it's less than 2 months away and it's not all organised.

Also she's afraid she won't be able to print the order of service things with the translations of the English, Swedish and Irish language bits into the appropriate languages, or if she is able, she will do it badly, shabbily, or in a way that makes people think "How cheap" instead of "How sweet". That she cares what other people think of this kind of rubbish is a clear sign, she believes, that she has lost it.

Plus, I'm apparently going to be a wife. That's it, the wedding's off, I don't have the firmware for that one, I'm afraid, they left it out at the assembly line. Why can't I just be a spouse? I can cope with spouse.

You don't even need to get married to get that. Once you get past a certain age people seem to use the husband/wife construction even when there is a conspicuous shortage of wedding jewelry.
