Was such a let-down. She just thought it was just a thing, though a better thing than cheating. Not a better or worse thing than monogamy; she can't see why any woman would want any kind of heterosexual relationship at all (cher papa was a bad experience for her) and she's not lesbian or bi, so she doesn't empathise with people wanting homosexual relationships either. But if people want to have relationships, then as long as they're nice to each other, that's fine.

She was much more interested in my job interview, in fact.

No, but I was expecting a different response. I should have known that my mother, of all people, doesn't care as long as people are basically honest and good.

I expected her and my sister to have each others' responses, in fact. In fact, I expected not to tell my mother where I'd been. I didn't think my sister would tell her I'd been "somewhere weird" and she wouldn't think it weird at all.

Now I have a big persuasive explanation and nowhere to use it.
