It's not all bad, is it, Janet?

Today I got a letter asking me to attend an interview on Wednesday 13 February.

Omigod omigod omigod.

I've been sending out applications relentlessly since 15 October 2001, and this is the first interview request I've had. This is wonderful. This is marvellous. This is because they couldn't find an excuse not to interview me and have an equal opportunities policy.

That was me being stupid. I'm really pleased about this.

My webcam is alive again; don't ask why, I don't know, I just felt like it.

What kind of a job is it? Does it pay well and have prospects? Whatever, I hope you enjoy the interview experience and will know before they offer it to you (if they do) whether you really want it or not. And if you do decide you really want it but don't get it, don't forget the odds are stacked against you ... it's no reflection of yourself. On average, even if you are every bit as good as the other candidates you are going to have to go to at least five or six interviews before being offered a job! But you just might get it, too - hope all goes well for you.
