ailbheI've only read one book of her work, a book I picked up in a second-hand bookshop by accident one day - it's called "The World's Wife."
I'm going to reread it, because it blew my tiny mind. I have no idea whether any of the individual poems are any good (though I think the Red riding Hood one was) but as a collection it's breathtaking.
At least to me.
I'm glad she's Poet Laureate. I think it will be interesting.

Date: 2009-05-06 08:49 am (UTC)I think she's amazing. I have tons of her books and have seen a recital in person. She's one of my favourite poets and I'm glad she's Poet Laureate too.
