They've turned the government off at the wall and won't turn it on again. What?! This was funny a couple of days ago but it seems to be actually true now and it's just weird.

Belgium didn't have a government for well over a year in 2010-11 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010%E2%80%9311_Belgian_government_formation
but at least there the bureaucrats kept going even though there were no political leaders.

The US seems to like doing it the other way around.
