All five of us are at home in our own house together. Rob is about to nap, Astrid is napping (gave her more steroids about 20-30 minutes ago) and I'm the adult in charge.

I no longer feel confident that we are home to stay though. I'm basically prepping for another trip to hospital, and thinking when not if.

I haven't had my laptop on for a few days, so have just read all your entries. I hope Astrid is feeling a lot better now x

Have just caught up - what an exhausting and worrying time! I hope Astrid is feeling better soon.

At the risk of suggesting something you've either adopted or ruled out as inappropriate long since, are you using or have you considered a humidifier? It seemed to help C quite dramatically when he had croup.

(No need to reply, since I'll assume there's at least a 99% chance that you've explored this route in fact!)

Fingers crossed that everyone gets to stay in the house, and finish their naps, and so on... It all sounds horribly stressful and sleep-free, so I hope things even out soon.

I hope this is the last time you have to do the yoyoing but I think psyching selves up for more hospital is a sensible and wise thing.

Argh, so stressful, poor Astrid and poor family having all that going on. I send her wellness wishes and hope you have all the support you can want or need.

I think being prepared is a good idea. But I hope you don't have to go tonight.

Oh, well, bum. I would be asking to stay in until she's better, in your shoes (but that's from the viewpoint of my own shoes, which are occupied by a mother-of-one, not a mother-of-three).

There comes a point at which I wonder why they didn't just keep her in until she was over the worst of it properly.
