Trying to list stressors
Apr. 17th, 2012 02:21 pmToday has been incredibly bad, from a mental health point of view.
Factors:
Probably others. Boo.
Factors:
- Going away for a weekend with family, packing and cleaning in preparation for this, and other associated stresses
- The mess of the house
- Trying to manage meals, especially dinners
- PMS
- Financial issues - needing Rob to do the insurance claim for my missing phone, needing Rob to help sort out our mortgage insurance, because I can't do these things on my own, according to the companies involved
- Not painting as much as I ought, due largely to mess and dinner-related chaos
- Not getting to see adults enough, because when I DO have time, I'm too exhausted
- Not eating properly, because we haven't worked out how to stop snack foods being found, opened, and abandoned by the kids, so we don't buy them any more
Probably others. Boo.

I'm focussing on a solution to the food problem, because if you can solve that one, the other stressors will be much easier to handle... Is there some sort of non-dairy yoghurt substitute that you can eat?
Thinking some more...

Date: 2012-04-17 03:49 pm (UTC)My first thought is you get a box of some sort and label it "mums food" and make it completely forbidden to have anything out of it without you giving it to them.
The fact that you are breastfeeding is enough of a reason that there is food you have which they can't have, maybe? Or that they don't get free access to snacks if they can't eat them properly?
ETA OR have a container each, with rationed snacks, and everyone gets their own and no-one elses..
Mess I have no idea, my house is a tip right now :/
