Minor Domestic Accomplishments Today

1 load each of light and dark laundry.

Made the bed (how I got out of the habit I don't know)

Offered everyone breakfast and lunch, it's not my fault if they throw my generosity back in my face.

Replaced toddler seat on garden swing with big-child seat without safety straps or back or anything (this involved going into the attic and realising I couldn't get around in my skirt, so I had to take it off on the top step and throw it down; it's a miracle I didn't break someone's neck).

Did a huge marathon tidy-up in the front room, since Linnea didn't want to go to dancing after all, including emptying all the toyboxes and playing "trash or treasure" with the girls.

Spent ages in the kitchen, washing tetrapacks for recycling and things like that.

Tried several new ways of getting the children to like xylitol; failed.

I don't remember what else I did. I know that this - what I have now - is my second hot drink of the day, because my morning coffee went cold while I did other things, and that this is the second time today I've sat at the computer.

Incidentally, can you people tell when I'm sitting down at leisure at the computer and when I'm typing stuff in passing as I go?

I like the idea of playing trash or treasure. We are due a clear out soon and I may just use that one.

I can't tell, but then I am notoriously unobservant! I tend to blithely assume that everyone else writes all their posts while sitting uninterrupted at their computers, especially when their posts are all as well thought out and coherent as yours tend to be, while I am the only one dashing around doing forty things at once and typing one word every five minutes in between being distracted by small people!
