I'm doing that obviously-PMS-type crying, where I can clearly identify that as the reason for being miserable and still can't stop, and my copy of "Cotillion" by Georgette Heyer is missing. How can I possibly feel better now?!

Georgette Heyer sustained me through my early 40s. I loved her and read every one of her Regency novels over and over again, after ODing on Jane Austin.
Now, for escapist stuff, I await the newest Mme Ramotswe (the African Detective Agency lady) series and Maeve Binchy. M.B.'s latest is quite good and much less the man-hating genre of the past.
