Woke at half past six. Stayed in bed feeding Astrid. Went for a shower at 06:55, was back in my room by 06:59, because of wanting to be in time to stop the 07:00 alarm. Sorted laundry, put some away, got dressed, had coffee.
Don't remember what else I did. Some domestic and medical paperwork, which was harrowing. Snuggled with Emer while Astrid had her proper morning feed. Got everyone some breakfast. Put out some rubbish. Cleared the floors in the kitchen, dining room and front hall, and mopped them, or at least the outer crust. Washed and hung one load of laundry. Washed another load of laundry and left it to fester. Astrid had a thirty-five minute nap at about lunchtime, which was nice. I remembered to give everyone snacks at 11 and 15:00, as well as offering lunch at noon (they had basically had lunch at 11 so they refused). I intercepted Linnea sneaking a pack of raw frozen pastry away to eat and exchanged it for a pack of chili tortilla rolls, so that was good. Later Emer and I made an apple pie and I washed yesterday's frying pan, which was all revolting meat fat and yuk. Then I emptied, refilled and ran the dishwasher, and got dinner ready - defrosted a frozen sanschiliconcarne.
Emer went to visit the girl two doors down and brought her home to play. Then our usual visitor arrived and we had to send the little girl home, and she didn't want to go. So that took a while. But we ate apple pie for our main course and chili and cous cous for dessert.
The main art things today were watercolour pencils, and washable markers on wet paper. Emer had a look at a maths workbook but declared it boring. She picked something like eight ripe blackberries. One was handed over to the next door neighbour, who gave us her rhubarb, because she can't eat it but hates it to be wasted.
Linnea read a few Asterix books, a Calvin and Hobbes, part of two Baby Blues anthologies, and a Beano annual.
When Rob got home at 7:45 I'd been up and doing almost but not quite constantly since 06:45, so I was pretty pleased to see him. I need to get more sleep.
However, I have a new location for my pills, so I will remember to take them from now on.
Also, Astrid can climb up and stand on this stool which is a nice way to relax on a Monday afternoon.
