Ours is stacked in rolls in the shadiest part of the garden.
Rob has been digging up our lawn and sorting the topsoil from the grass yuk and putting it in bags for people, and tomorrow we - he, because I'm not allowed - has to finish the bit under the swing and dig over the whole thing to turn the soil and I might be allowed to rake it a bit to level it and then he will have to tread it down and then we put in fertiliser and roll out the new grass and water it like mad.
Apparently we have to use the entire waterbutt and then some. We'll probably end up using the hose but we might manage some bathwater etc. I wish we had a proper greywater system in our house.
Freeglers are taking the spare topsoil, the pallet the turf was delivered on, and all sorts. It's very exciting.
And then we won't have a mudpit where we wanted a garden, which will be great.
But we will always have a bare patch under the swing, I think - I can't imagine any other way.
