Electricity and Gas and Water
Feb. 4th, 2007 12:40 amWe have recently changed electricity and gas suppliers so that our electricity is from 100% renewable sources. And it appears that, on investigation, a water meter would cost us money, so we need to reduce water consumption a bit before we can afford to get one of those. That means fixing the shower, for a start. And the dripping tap in the bathroom. A modern dual-flush loo would help too.
I habitually run the tap when I brush my teeth with a conventional toothbrush, but not when I use an electric one. Isn't that odd?
We also really, really need to get the loft ceiled and insulated; it costs money in winter and makes the house stifling hot in summer.
Can't do nuffin while I'm like this though. Perhaps Rob can see to some of it while I'm away.
