ailbhe: (food)
I think I missed at least one day. However:

Two hours' sleep (this counts as food because it has a direct impact on how much chocolate I eat later).

Tea.

Sausage and egg in a white bap, at the farmer's market. Also some tastes of jams and chutneys.

A very small piece of carrot cake because Linnea ate the rest :(

Some of Linnea's banana and strawberry smoothie.

A baked potato with coleslaw, tea, a bottle of sparkling water, and another mouthful of carrot cake because Linnea ate the rest :(

A cup of tea and most of a bar of 70% chocolate.

Another cup of tea and a rice crispie bar.

Edit: And after 6 pm, dinner. Three bowls of pasta and pesto. Then half a pack of bourbon creams again, and lots more tea.

I think I need to get more protein in earlier in the day to give me the energy to cook. Weekdays are ok because I know I'm responsible for dinner, but weekends are a bit half-and-half and if I haven't planned something Rob tends to do something like pasta and pesto, and by dinnertime I'm too tired to think of a proper meal.

Purchase

Today we bought the obligatory Christmas gifts for my family. We have yet to get the ones for Rob's family, but at least we're partway there. I'm going to Ireland in three weeks, so it's not as premature as all that.

Before that we picked up my contact lenses for the next three months, and I got some purple-framed transition lenses glasses. These are marvellous: I can see! Apparently my contacts are slightly abrading the upper edge of my right eye and I need to see if I can kickstart my tear ducts and if that doesn't work, use eyedrops.

I also bought something for [livejournal.com profile] elisem but I haven't found her address to send it. And there's something for [livejournal.com profile] submarine_bells and I need to find that address too.

However, yesterday I sent the cheque and the books they paid for, so that's done. The books will arrive before the cheques clear, but that's my fault for sitting on the cheque for so long.

Also today we bought a super-cheap entirely frivolous nappy bag. I received a wheeled carry-on suitcase that looks like a ladybird as a birthday gift, and today we found a matching nappy bag for about a third original price. I am very happy and very spotty. Is red! Is spotty! Is sturdy! Yippee!

I am listening to the extended interviews from http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/programmes/misc/insearchofgod.shtml and I want to get a copy of the [livejournal.com profile] theladiesloos book.

A blanket

When I was pregnant with Linnea, someone made and sent us a pastel rainbow afghan.

We are using it nightly and it is cosy, cheerful, and heartwarming as well as shoulderwarming.
