"Pass me another one, this one's split."
Jul. 31st, 2006 08:47 amSo late yesterday evening, after the whole WOMAD thing, I got dizzy (due to sinuses) and stumbled, which really, really hurt my pelvis. I was in pain all night and this morning can walk, but can't turn over, sit down, stand up, or much else at all.
We called NHS Direct who told me (a) call the midwife, and (b) don't let Rob go to work. We're waiting for 9 am to call Fiona because she doesn't usually work on Mondays. There's no point calling the labour ward to speak to the on-call midwife because unless they think one is in labour they send one to one's GP and I can't walk that far.
Rob has taken Linnea down the street to post a note through a door. There's a reliable teenager there, and she is probably on her school holidays. She may not have a job yet. The only other people who could help are on holiday in Prague.
We shall see.
