Decided they needed a THIRD rinse
Filled, ran, emptied dishwasher
Cooked and served breakfast
Washed pots, breakfast bowls etc
Cleaned three children, dressed one
Phoned swimming pool to check today's lesson details
Sang Christmas songs while Linnea held the lyrics book
Put away one load of dry laundry
Made a bed

13:21 Put on waterproof bedmats to wash
Filled and ran dishwasher
Started cooking meat + onions for the stew
Scrubbed carrots for the stew
Made toast with banana and honey for lunch (Linea suggested it as a joke)
Washed another drainerful of things, breadbin, lunchboxes etc
RESULT: Both sides of the kitchen are nearly clear

14:00 Scraped and chopped carrots, added to stew with bouillon (from powder)
Fed Astrid LOTS
Ate lunch
Was in premenstrual pain

14:40 Had bath with Astrid
Dried and dressed us
Answered door to parcel delivery while wearing a bathtowel, with Astrid wrapped in another bathtowel, and Rob's polar fleece dressing gown tugged hastily around us both.
Got older children into bath, showed Linnea how to wash her own hair
Pulled cake tins out of dishwasher in a hurry so they don't rust
Set absorbent waterproof bedmats to spin again before I hang them to dry

15:20 Hung nappies to dry
Put delicates load to wash
Emptied dishwasher
Dried rust-prone things
Switched stew off; it will stay hot enough while we're out
Dragged children almost forcibly from bath

Last night I was so tired and cold that I didn't even make the bed before crawling into it. The reason it was unmade was that I had previously taken the sheets OFF in order to FORCE myself to change the bed already.

All of which is to say: I am in awe of your awesome housekeeping awesomeness.

Also, how come your laundry always dries so quickly? It takes 2-3 days in my living room at this time of year... =(

We have lots of different places to hang ours to maximise airflow. And it's a dry house in general, and we have a very good rack, and I rotate things like mad, always moving the closest-to-dry things to the dryingest space.

My flat is dry, as a rule; I think it's the airflow question that's letting me down - there's nary a crack left open to let the cold in in the winter months chez moi. I don't think there's much point in me rotating - doing it once or twice a day will not achieve sufficient results to justify the effort, and obv I'm not there to do it at optimum almost-dry times.

Oh by the way, there's the most bitching housework thread going on at Pandagon right now, I think you'll get a lot of good healthy vicarious rage out of it. Only if you have a few hours to spare, mind - we've topped 350 comments last I checked.
