ailbheHe gets tired about 10pm, even at conventions. So who stays up until 1:30, 2:30, 3:00? the one breastfeeding the newborn, that's who. I have now breastfed while ordering drinks at a bar, folks. At the actual bar, not sitting on a chair in the lounge. It did mean I couldn't stand on the footrest to get to a reasonable height, which I would usually do since the bar comes up to my collarbone, but...
He is infinitely patient with miserable babies. I didn't need that skill this weekend (Thursday-Tuesday is a weekend, right?) but it's fab nonetheless.
The children adore him. And he them.
My only complaint (!!!) is that he spent the weekend prioritising my enjoyment so I suspect he claimed not to want to do stuff when he actually did, but we had a mini-argument about that shortly before the end so we might have fixed it, I'm not sure. I was really, really tired by then.
