We had a wonderful day. We went to Meeting, then to Christchurch Meadows for a picnic with Freya, then to Tesco (spit) for rice milk to keep us until Tuesday, then to King's Meadow to play in the playground and eat more of the picnic (note to self: the silicon pie-dish fits the Le Crueseet one so well as a lid that the apricot clafouti was perfect condition when we ate it ten hours after packing) and then home, where I washed the children's hair.

Of course, all that meant that the housework and errands we were supposed to run today didn't really happen, but that's ok.

(There were two low spots: once when we lost Emer's sunglasses, though we found them again, and once when a couple in King's Meadow decided to use us to satisfy their being-seen kink and started to get distinctly more sexually explicit than is appropriate in a very public place in mid-afternoon, though admittedly not as bad as what I saw in the three weeks I lived in Romford and much easier to escape: we just went away and sat somewhere else).
