I'm really very delighted with all these reports about how the birth went, and about Astrid and you doing so well. I expect Rob is pretty happy too. It brought back memories of my sister's home birth and, although my mum screamed rather a lot, we knew what was going on, expected it and were very, very happy to have my mum at home and to see the new baby. The baby's father was a source of much amusement to us, as he flew about the flat in an utter panic, scared stiff but unable to do anything useful. We stayed quietly out of the way and held hands throughout.
I doubt somehow the novelty of New Person has worn off at all. I hope you're getting enough sleep and not having to use your arms for anything.
