The grass is always greener

Like the inside of my lungs.

I have to get cracking today - we had an astoundingly productive weekend and the garden is finally playable in, but the house looks terrible because we unpacked in a very disorganised way and didn't tidy it at all.

We also discovered that we need to buy more single bedding. We currently have just enough, which of course isn't enough if we have a guest using a single bed. So.

All I've done so far today is made the beds, put away some laundry, and done a dishwasher load. I'm about to make my second coffee, and then I'll see about hanging wet laundry and washing some of the dirty stuff, too. And then perhaps I'll feel able to face breakfast. And finishing dressing the children.

I do like daylight in the mornings.

I had to buy more single sheets recently, after they were both ill & 2 per bed wasn't enough. They now have 3 each, well, 6 to share as they both use the same ones. They have more than us, that's for sure.

I had to get up at 6am this morning (don't ask) - and th only thing that made it bearable was the pleasant surprise of it being fully light already at that early time. It surprises me every year just how quickly the days stretch out once the clocks go over.
