Last minute

The spare room is almost ready for guests, which involved disassembling furniture. The shoe cupboard has been brought downstairs and bolted to the wall so babies can't topple it. The mantelpiece-height shelf is up in our bedroom to hold the photos we got of the children ages ago. The balalaika hanger is up. The CD player is on a high shelf (made of some of the disassembled furniture) so children can't play sandwiches on it.

The laundry is almost all clean and dry.

We have yet to tidy downstairs, clean the kitchen and cook our packed lunches. But we'll get there.
