The condensing boiler has a drain pipe to deal with the condensation. That was fruz up. The boiler had filled with water and very sensibly refused to light under those circumstances. It took one half-hour unit of labour to clear up and this afternoon Rob will pop down to Wickes to buy pipe lagging and then it won't happen again. The boiler man said he COULD do it but would be charging Corgi-registered plumbing-god type rates for what is really a handyman DIYer type job, so it wasn't worth it. I like that in a tradesperson.
In other news, I have been unable to buy Linnea a bright, warm winter coat which will also cover her bum, because I don't want a pink one with snotcatching funfur around the hood. I'll keep looking. I wish I'd ordered one of those children who doesn't grow during winter. She doesn't LOOK any taller but her clothes keep getting shorter. Neat trick.
