I True Fed today and met two women I've been meaning to meet up with and arranged to visit one of them soon. So that's good. There was a lot of sitting around gossipping and there's a tentative to go and loiter on street corners in the near future, because there's a "groups of three or more" dispersal thing going on. We talked about how much better it would be to raise teenagers who were completely antisocial and never hung around with anyone, because then they wouldn't be hanging around in groups in an intimidatingly trendy manner.

I think it could make for good blogging; I must find out if any of the local bloggers would like to do it.

We're going to invite more people more people over for dinner since it's been working well. And now I need to find a Christening gift for my niece. I have no idea what to get - I don't think I know anyone who had a baby who had a big Christening - this is apparently a big Do at the end of October, though we were told about it yesterday so we can't get flights. Or Rob's time off work, for that matter.

Christening gift suggestions

I am assuming it is an RC baptism?
Religious gifts our girls were given rosary beads, prayer books and children's bibles.
Rhiannon received 'The Lion First Bible' and The Lion book of First Prayers'. Eleri was given 'Marks and Spencers First Bible Stories.' I prefer the first one.
Other gifts were clothes, 'posh' books (the complete illustrated Beatrix Potter) and collectables such as a Royal Doulton winnie-the-Pooh money box.

I think you should see if you can nurse a toddler in public while loitering :)

Oh that's a good one, how about nursing whilst wearing a hoodie?

So you are thinking a flashmob sort of thing, tho if it's just mums they will probably assume you are lost and just direct you to the nearest coffeeshop

I had one of those little silver extending bracelets, like these on this ultra-sickly website (http://www.miltongems.co.uk/christening-bangles.html), and that's what I bought the one time I went to a christening.
