I True Food Cooperated today; I went and hosted at the market in town. This meant that for two hours I took people's money, cards, and questions, added up their shopping totals if they hadn't done it themselves, explained how we work and what we do, and also didn't hit anyone on the head with rocks in spite of being nice to over seventy people, half of whom made basic newbie errors.

It was good, but people really don't understand the idea of volunteer-run organisations, I think.

I enjoyed it, and now I am eggsauced ed. Rob is cooking dinner (leftover mutton shoulder, leftover marrow, courgette, onion, garlic, tinned tomato, spices, and soon there will be couscous) and I've had a cup of stock to keep my spirits up. I baked a loaf of garlic bread with sundried tomato this morning and Rob made an apple clafouti while I was out.

We're planning a hot breakfast by the river again tomorrow morning. Then home, housework, and cooking dinner for which we have a guest.

Among the housework tasks is sorting children's clothes into boxes; the TFC gave me a stack of broken clear plastic lidded stackable storage boxes, no longer fit for food storage but perfectly adequate for kids' clothing. I am DELIGHTED and will sort my little heart out shortly.

I also put a coat of paint over the bootpolish and green marker on our bedroom wall today, and hope to get another coat done later. But I am keener on the clothes sorting.
