Books and toys

ailbheWe did quite well for Emer's birthday - a few books from my side, a very few gifts from friends, so not too bad. But we still need to get rid of a lot of toys. I shall have to have an opaque charity bag in the hall again, so I can put stuff in it as and when.
I can't get rid of their books, I'm not really capable of it. Though I've been considering getting rid of the badly damaged ones. There's book recycling near Rob's workplace, but I'm not sure they take hardback or cardboard pages.
The other thing I need to get rid of is tupperware-type stuff. We have lots and mainly I reuse glass jars rather than plastic, for pantry and fridge storage.
At least my wardrobe has finally been pared down so I can't get rid of much more!
The children's old shoes need to go to charity.
And we need to sort out some bike storage. I've started wondering whether we could hang them from a ceiling somewhere. Or build a vast storage rack which can stack them, out the front. We need to do something.
