HALFWAY THERE!!!

We are so nearly halfway there. This is great! Seri is still in hospital since her last surgery, as far as I know, and she is having a really really rough time. She's used to it, poor little mite, but it's really tough. I don't have details, because her parents are too busy being there for her to update imaginary internet friends, but the phrase "femoral line" is never a good sign.

The money is mostly coming in in fivers and it's almost magical how it adds up. I've begun the process to get the money out of Paypal so I can send a cheque to Seri's family.

For babies a femoral line is often easier for all concerned than a plain IV line, and can be sited while in theatre.

Thanks for the reminder. I donated my recent shoe-shopping refund on the principle I was going to spend it anyway ...

If they're lucky enough to get the wheelchair on the NHS, please don't let them try to refund me, but keep it for the next thing.
