I've just spent most of two hours fine-combing everyone's hair, including Dave who came for the weekend, just in case (he was clear). We have an official headlice infestation, though it seems to be very mild.

Linnea is not impressed with fine-combing.

I hope we don't have to do this for long; I reckon if we aim for daily combing for the rest of the week we should be fine. Rob intends to get a much, much shorter haircut, later today. He wasn't impressed with fine-combing either.

Oy. We had lice when we lived in Spain. There are four of us. My poor, bugphobic mom. :-(

Leif had lice two months ago (amazingly, it never spread to anyone else), and now our housemates, infected entirely independently, are (hopefully) finishing up with it.

No fun, but it does pass.

Probably it used to work when you were 8 - but since then, the lice have been busily evolving resistance :-(

Robicomb! It puts an electric current through any lice or eggs it finds and kills them instantly, then you just comb them out. It's still fine-combing, but makes it really easy to keep ahead of the little greebs. And no chemicals! We love our Robicomb.

Every other day is fine (or every three days after the initial clearing out of adult lice), but better to do it for a couple of weeks to be on the safe side.
