Today was fab. Linnea watched the same three episodes of Mr Benn about half a dozen times - maybe more - and Emer asked to use the toilet five times and was productive every single time. We had no dirty nappies to deal with today. Not one. Out of five possible dirty nappies. I think this is very impressive.

Also, I got laundry done in spite of having to hang everything indoors, and when the day was at its lowest ebb, about brillig, M came with Leeloo (Emer's pronunciation) and P and we all went to the park - I packed a flask of redbush tea and the carrot cake Rob made last night and the girls and I iced earlier today and off we went. M also gave me a Bara Barn wrap to try out and I love it, but Emer didn't want to be wrapped, she wanted to walk.

After the picnic Leeloo came home with us and stayed to dinner; Rob stirred fry while L and L played mud in the garden. They came in so dirty that the ate dinner in their underwear after an extremities wash, and then had a bath together, including some very four-year-old whispered conversations along the lines of "Guess what, I made bubbles with my bottom, can you do it too? Wow!" and then watched yet more Mr Benn while they dried off.

AFTER that Rob and I hung the huge painting we got from Linda down the road; it's up in the stairwell because that's the only wall large enough which has not been covered in bookshelves. It looks great, I think.

And then Rob had to do some sudden overtime. I drafted him an email to send his boss about it but he graciously declined.

Tomorrow we're helping pack up at the TFC at RISC and finally finishing the spare room clearout, I hope. Also, Linnea wants us to call Dave and ask him to visit. You never know.
