The day started slowly - Linnea had bad dreams, so I had a ruptured, fractured, splintered, bruised night - but after lunch I got both girls out to the post office to post the parcel Rob wrapped last night. It's late - the birthday is tomorrow in Ireland - but it's gone.
I also got some laundry sorted out, importantly, nappies. And laundered a mysteriously wet cushion, some pants, and a pair of shorts. And so on.
And then we went to see Maria and Leeloo (Louis). And the children played together and I more or less flopped, drank tea, flopped some more, looked at books, and so on. When Rob got home he made a pot of Pat Kight's Curry and brought it round, and we all ate together, all eight of us.
I have borrowed some Wodehouse and retrieved some Heyer.
And finally started making the bread I intended to start before 9 am. 2lb of white flour.
