Linnea was distinctly and deliberately naughty, in a characteristically cross-with-Daddy way, and, on final revocation of all privileges and being sent to her room, went thoroughly and soundly to sleep.

So the punishment worked. Maybe not as a punishment, but it solved the problem.

It also stopped me from smashing her against a wall and screaming myself hoarse. Win all round, I feel.

I feel guilty for having been so cross when the poor thing was only tired, though. I should know she's not that naughty usually.

And she may feel guilty for being naughty when she was tired. You should make a deal with her that she can stop feeling guilty if you can.
